Title:  Old Pear's Grand Finale

  1. This painting was my result of a cooperative effort of about fourteen Arizona artists. We each posted favorite objects to one another which started with the pear. At the end of the project all of our paintings were hung one weekend in gallery space in Scottsdale, AZ. As I recall, mine was the only one to include all of the proffered objects. At the beginning of this project, the organizer sent us a jpeg of a glorious-looking pear. By the end - a couple of months? - I felt it was probably time to retire the poor old thing. So, location: Back stage - the gathering of all included objects holding a retirement party for Ol' Pear. Perhaps the red headed fellow on the left holds the starting gun, or perhaps he's going to put the retired one out of his misery? I never really decided.
